The Very Best In Stand Up kicks off the year with another fantastic line-up of big name comedians.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Daliso Chaponda to the first show of 2019. Daliso has enjoyed a huge rise in popularity thanks to his grand final appearance on ITV’s “Britain’s Got Talent”, which has given him the step up that he richly deserves and is now playing theatres up and down the country on sold out tour shows. His feel good style of observational comedy never fails to hit the mark and is a big hit with comedy

audiences everywhere.

It’s taken us almost 15 years of running comedy to bring The Raymond and Mr. Timpkins Revue to a show and after spending 25 minutes in their company at February’s show, you’ll be asking why. Simply put, this hilarious duo are massively in demand at comedy clubs up and down the country. This is a superbly thought out stage show that houses every little thing that makes live comedy what it is. Plenty of gags, visual entertainment and a precise timing that could go wrong at any time if it wasn’t the fact that it’s the hands of such seasoned professionals. We know you might sometimes go off and Youtube some of the acts that are listed, but for once – don’t.
Just enjoy what is The Raymond and Mr. Timpkins Revue.

Laura Lexx has been nominated as the UK’s Best Compere for three years running and it’s easy to see why. Affable and charming, Brighton based Laura has everything it takes to be a household name in the very near future and by the time she’s with us, she’d have starred in BBC’s “Live At The Apollo” to cap off a great year for her, where her Edinburgh show “Trying” also sold out it’s run to critical acclaim. We could say this of all the acts on this bill – One to see now before it’s too late.

Finally, and taking the helm at MC for the show is another comedian coming to us for the first time in Stephen Bailey. In a short space of time, Stephen has moved into theatre tours (he has one starting just a week after the show) and also onto TV screens as the presenter of Channel 5’s “Celebs On The Farm” and “The Apprentice: You’re Fired”. Stephen caps off what is a stellar line up to kick of the year.

All of these acts will sell tickets for the show in their own name so it’s worth us pointing out that if you’ve not been before and you’re buying for one act, line-ups are subject to change and tickets are purchased for the show itself but one thing is for sure, it’s set for a great evening of live stand up!

The show takes place on Friday 1st February 2019 and tickets are on sale now priced at £10. They can be purchased from the Civic Hall direct or from the SeeTickets link below. A limited number of table reservations are also available for the show to groups of six or more on a first come, first serve basis. Click the link below to request a reservation. Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.10pm.
