Fireworks are guaranteed this November as The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall with another four top acts taking to the stage.
Our host for the evening is none other than Geordie circuit legend John Fothergill, a master of quick wit and razor-sharp banter. John has been seen on BBC1’s ‘The Stand Up Show’ and is part of the comedy store’s ‘The Cutting Edge’ current affairs comedy team, something he shares with the first of the three acts that he’ll be introducing on the evening.
The first act that Pete will be introducing will be verteran comedian Steve Gribbin. Steve's comedy blends some straight stand up with some original guitar songs peppered inbetween. He's a mix of satrical comedy and observational and is a perfect open to the show. Steve is also part of the popular and long running Cutting Edge topical show at London's Comedy Store.
In our middle section, we have the pleasure of welcoming back Sally Anne Hayward. With several Edinburgh runs written and performed, Sally's got a wealth of material that simply works, regardless of the audience type. Her most recent show 'Older, Bolder' was a success at the Edinburgh Fringe with the show exploring Sally finding upside and complete comfort at aging and getting older.
We're welcoming back Rich Wilson to the club after compering for us a couple of years ago and this time, he'll be closing the show for us. Rich has an accomplished career in comedy, with awards, TV appearances and sell out runs at both the Edinburgh and Melbourne Fringe. His most recent special 'You Could Have It So Much Better' is currently available on both ITVX and Amazon Prime. Rich's laid back and charming stage presence guarantees to finish the evening on a feel good note.
