April sees us take a mini-break as our usual first friday is the same time as Nantwich Jazz Festival so your next chance to catch live comedy will be Friday 1st May when we return with an unmissable line up of comedy.
Firstly, we do have a slight change to the originally advertised line-up as Scott Bennett has had to cancel. We hope to get Scott back soon and in his place will be the excellent Dave Twentyman. Dave cuts a warm and friendly presence onstage and his down-to-earth natural comedy has always been a welcome addition to our shows over the years.
A master of high-energy, observational comedy, we welcome back Stephen Grant into our opening spot. As the resident host of the award-winning Krater Comedy Club, Stephen is a whirlwind of sharp wit and manic intelligence. One of the most experienced and hard working comics on the circuit, when Stephen's not on stage, he's writing for shows like 'Mock The Week' and 'Stand Up For The Week'.
In our middle section, we welcome Peter Brush for the first time with us. Peter’s slight, and oft awkward stage presence belies a razor-sharp comedic mind. His beautifully crafted metaphors and distinctive one-liners have made him a regular at the major clubs up and down the country, along with a chosen support act for names like Alexei Sayle and Jason Manford.
Straight-talking, unapologetic, and utterly hilarious. Returning to the civic to close our show we have Lindsey Santoro. It's been 2 years since Lindsey took command of the stage at the Civic and delivered a whirlwind 25 minutes of comedy that had everyone in stitches. Hailing from Birmingham, Lindsey has taken the comedy world by storm with her candid tales of daily life. We're thrilled to have her back to close out the penultimate show of this season of live comedy at Nantwich Civic.
