The Very Best In Stand Up is presented by Straight Up Comedy in conjunction with Nantwich Town Council.
Live comedy is back with a bang at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday, 4th September, kicking off a new season of top-tier stand-up. We'll be starting things off with another powerhouse lineup of some of the best comedians on the UK circuit today. More good news is that tickets have been held for the new season at £12 - Amazing value for top quality live comedy.
Guiding audiences through the evening is the incomparable Russell Hicks, who takes on compering duties. Known for his razor-sharp wit and legendary, provocative crowd work, the American-born comic is a master of improvisation. No two Hicks shows are ever the same, ensuring the new season kicks off with an electric, unpredictable energy.
Russell will be introducing Dublin’s own John Lynn as our first act. A darling of the international comedy circuit, Lynn’s easygoing Irish charm belies a fiercely clever and hilariously candid storytelling style. From the Edinburgh Fringe to clubs across the globe, he has solidified his reputation as a must-see act.
Taking the middle slot is the brilliantly musical Christian Reilly. A former global touring partner of Rich Hall, Reilly combines his clever stand-up with killer guitar moments. Expect his high-octane, hilarious musical parodies that have proved popular on Christian's previous visits to the Civic.
Closing our opening night is the sensational Josh Jones. One of the most distinctive and rapidly rising voices in British comedy, Josh has appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and Live at the Apollo. With his fierce and hysterically unfiltered Northern humour, he is the perfect headliner to send audiences home on a high.
