The Very Best In Stand Up is presented by Straight Up Comedy in conjunction with Nantwich Town Council.
Hot on the heels of September’s opening show of the season, The Very Best in Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday, October 2nd.
Compering the evening we have Hayley Ellis. Hayley is renowned for her effortless warmth, razor-sharp quick wit, and brilliant audience banter. A former contributor to XFM's breakfast show and BBC Radio 4's Newsjack, her relatable northern charm makes her an instant favourite with any crowd.
Opening the show will be Rob Rouse. Rob landed a haul of awards last year and his latest tour show ‘Funny Bones’ is getting five star reviews. Rob went down a storm on his last visit to us in 2024 and you’ll be able to get a sneak peek at some of the fresher material from his show and you can still catch the whole thing on some of the north west shows remaining on the tour.
In the middle spot we have Jonny Pelham. Jonny is widely celebrated for his disarmingly candid, deeply personal, and beautifully crafted material. Combining a gentle delivery with dark, self-deprecating humor, he effortlessly turns sensitive subjects into pure comedic gold.
Globe-trotting comedy veteran and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist, Markus Birdman is a master storyteller who blends bold, unapologetic stand-up with a unique, artistic touch. One of the first British comics to film a Netflix special, his clever, sharp-edged takes on life push boundaries in the most delightfully hilarious way and Markus will close out our October show.

Table reservations are available for groups of SIX or more using the link below. You will need your booking number when requesting a table reservation.

Only food and drink purchased at the venue may be consumed at our normal monthly shows. You will not be allowed to bring your own.
