The Very Best In Stand Up is presented by Straight Up Comedy in conjunction with Nantwich Town Council.
Our June show is here and with it, the last Very Best In Stand Up of the season. Tickets are on sale now for for the final show of our current season on Friday 5th September. We’ve had an incredible run this year, and we’ve saved one of our strongest line-ups for the grand finale before we take our annual summer break.
Returning to steer the ship for our season closer is the effortlessly funny Dave Williams. A veteran of the circuit and a firm favourite in Nantwich, Dave’s sharp crowd work and easy-going charm make him the perfect host to guide us through our final night of the season. He’s a warm and friendly host that you just can’t help but like.
Opening the night up is the brilliant Paul McCaffrey. You may recognise Paul from his appearances on Live at the Apollo, the UK version of Impractical Jokers, and Russell Howard’s Good News. Known for his hilarious storytelling and relatable observations, Paul’s been wrapping the last shows on his 2026 tour show ‘What A Time To Be Alive’.
We are thrilled to welcome Kate Barron for the first time here at Nantwich Civic. Originally from Canada and now a powerhouse on the UK scene, Kate is known for her unapologetic, witty, and often brutally honest brand of comedy. Kate’s done TV warm up for The Late Show With Jamea Corden and has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious comedy events - such as the Montreal Just For Laughs festival - and now she gets to add Nantwich to her list of comedic achievements.
Closing our season is none other than the sensational Dan Nightingale. One of the best performers in the business and co-host of the smash-hit Have A Word podcast, Dan is a comedic force of nature. Dan’s been with us a number of times over the 20 years that we’ve been running comedy but one thing that never changes? His ability at absolutely smash it every time he’s with us. His mix of punchy anecdotes and incredible stage presence ensures a high energy, big laughs close to the season.
